But before that there are two things that I wanted to point out. I myself didn't like the ending but for slightly different reasons. He could only wait for An to solve the mystery. And the huge guilt Sungmo feels towards An and Jaein to actually be because of the fact that he didn't ask for help back then and he couldn't ask for help now. Tsk so I'm just gonna rewrite the ending for myself where Jisoo doesn't die, Sungmo isn't the real culprit behind the fire that killed An's parents. HE HAD GUILT TOWARDS HER! I totally shipped Jisoo and Sungmo right from the beginning cuz they really do make sense.
So why did these two adorable brothers have to end up separated!!?Īnd don't even get me started on how people think Sungmo had romantic feelings for Jaein.
And of course Sungmo stayed by Lee An's side helping him manage his anger and pain. even if Lee An didn't fully understand Sungmo, he was still always there for him when he progressed. So why go back a step? Sungmo and Lee An's bond was SO special. I also agree that Sungmo shouldnt have been the real culprit because he did learn to overcome his psychological condition. that motivation of her's should have been explored. Plus her determination to prove herself one of the best detectives. She had her work cut out for her as the daughter of a high ranking official. And im not talking about her one-sided love for Sungmo. She had her struggles definitely, so we should have got to see those struggles. In all of the convoluted and painful history of the other three leads, Jisoo was the one who wasn't tainted with absolute tragedy. You don't need to know who any of the actors are to enjoy this drama, but you will want to know who they are once you start watching it.I think everyone lost it when Jisoo died. I really am stunned by how much I am enjoying it. Fair warning, this drama will rip your heart out on a regular basis. The direction and cinematography are beautiful. The stunts and action are used to great effect without being overdone or silly. The timing and pacing of this drama are great. The actors all do an outstanding job and have great chemistry.
The romance is definitely on point, not too little and not over the top. The story is convoluted and you need to pay attention because there are clues everywhere, but it always keeps you guessing. It is a tense thriller with romance, comedy, action, and supernatural abilities. This will undoubtedly be the best drama of the year.
